Our Minister Rev James Reeves leads the YAC Shack community project on Pembroke Gardens recreation ground in partnership with local church organisations.

The YAC Shack project has a primary mission to preach the gospel through both word and social action. We actively support and work with children & youth within the very heart of the community. We engage with the community through organised activities and events on a regular and consistent basis. Through this we minister pastoral support to the community [listening, mentoring, prayer, practical provisions].

During school term, we run organised activities [sports, games, arts & crafts] at the YAC Shack every Thursday from 3.45pm until 5pm. During local school holidays [excluding Christmas holidays], organised activities run every Tuesday and Thursday from 2pm to 4pm. During each session, we share the gospel message of Jesus, promote prayer and teach Christian behaviours and values.

It is our heart to grow authentic relationships with people in the community and to establish a community of people who belong, are loved and accepted as we demonstrate the love of Jesus that is in us. As we build a community of people who belong, we aim to equip individuals to volunteer, to serve the community and join in with the mission of God.
